A simple enough task.

 

Rindi Gloam had the perfect life. The young Azyrean lived in her home world of Pangrove with her grandmother, Marzi. She had friends, attended to her studies, and rode moonbeams. But that all changed when a decades-old relationship between Marzi and the dark elves of Menalor resurfaced. The elves needed Rindi, much as they had needed her grandmother years earlier. Her charge was such a simple thing—contact an obscure race of beings and gather information.

 

And so began the journey. She soon came to understand , though, that if all-out war was to be avoided, the burden would fall to her. She struggled to learn what she needed to know while trying to keep the peace between members of her company.

 

And then she made contact. What she learned raised even more troubling questions. For the first time, she understood that the future of the world depended on the answers to those questions.
