When Mary isn’t writing, she’s probably traveling, painting, or daydreaming, or doing all of the above while playing World of Warcraft.  She is a voracious reader but particularly enjoys fantasy (who would have guessed?), mysteries, psychological thrillers, and all manner of escapism.  She lived a nomadic lifestyle for many years—living in eight different states and abroad—while working at a newspaper publisher in New England, a law firm in Alaska, and the Alaska State Legislature, and while raising two sons.

Now happily retired, she gives in to her inner child while spending time with her granddaughter and writing fantasy novels.  She lives in Anchorage, Alaska, with her husband Steven.
