McSally and Company

After thirty-five wonderful years of marriage, Doris McSally finds herself widowed. In her own words, she is too young to be old and too old to be young. So, at fifty-five with no work experience and a trove of medical bills, she sets out in search of a job. Instead, she finds herself the owner of a cleaning company. She tries to learn about running a business at the same time she’s trying to come to grips with her grief. Along the way, she makes new friends, learns a lot she didn’t know about her old ones, and re-establishes her connection with her son. Most of all, she begins to imagine that embarking on a new life doesn’t have to mean leaving the old one behind.
