In real life, they are an odd assortment of characters—a middle-aged recovering alcoholic, a harried mother of three, a nerdy teenager, a young affluent Latina, and a ruggedly handsome Australian banker. Together they slay dragons and save villages in an online video game. And yet when tragedy overtakes them in real life, they each try to tackle their demons alone. Hurtling toward disaster, they come to realize that asking for help may be their only means of salvation. And they learn, to their surprise, that help often comes from the most unexpected sources.
